Interface

SUAVE's in-game interface looks like this:

At any time duruing gameplay, you can press your menu button (the Escape key by default) to pause, change your configuration or stop the game.

At the upper left hand corner of the screen, your current score is displayed.

Your remaining lives are displayed in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

The gauge in the lower left hand corner of the screen is your armor meter. Any damage your SUAVE incurs will lower this gauge. If this meter runs out, your SUAVE will explode.

Just to the right of the armor gauge is a description and remaining ammunition of your current weapon pod, if you have one. See the Playing page for more information on weapon pods.

The gauge in the lower right hand corner of the screen is the charge remaining in your SUAVE's time device. As you hold down the device's control (space bar by default), time will slow down and this gauge will drop. When this gauge is empty, you will no longer be able to control the flow of time.

To the left of the time gauge are icons representing any keys you've picked up.

At the center bottom of the display, between the Weapon details and the keys, a timer will appear when you pick up a shield bonus. Until this timer runs out, nothing can harm your SUAVE.
